Remove paint contamination

Stains that are superficial and easy to remove

Most stains are easy to remove with the right products. Removing stubborn stains is described below this tutorial. 

1. See which stains need to be removed, and pick up the products that remove the stains. 

2. Spray the appropriate cleaning products on the specific stains. 

Note: All cleaning products should be applied to a dry vehicle in the shade. 

3. Remove residue by rinsing with water.

Hars en lijm verwijderen

1. Spray the ProTech® Glue and Tree sap Remover on the contaminated areas.

2. Let it soak for a while.

3. Gently rub a microfiber on the tip of your finger.

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 until all contamination is gone. Use a clean piece of the microfiber cloth each time.

TIP: Once the contamination has penetrated the paint of your vehicle it is impossible to remove all traces, never use force to remove the contamination, this can cause scratches.

5. Rinse with Laserwash or if your vehicle has been treated with ProTech 3D+, use Waterless Cleaning 3D+.

Remove tar

1. Spray the ProTech® Tar Remover on the contaminated areas.

2. Let it take effect for a few moments. When the product has been absorbed sufficiently, the tar starts to run.

3. Wipe with a ProTech® Microfibre, repeat steps 1 to 3 if necessary until all tar is removed.

4. Wash off the residue with water and ProTech® Shampoo or use the ProTech® Laserwash and a ProTech® Microfibre

TIP: If your car has been treated with ProTech 3D+, use Waterless Cleaning 3D+ I.P.V. ProTech® Laser Wash.

Remove insects

Insects should always be removed from the paintwork as soon as possible, if insects stick to the paintwork for a longer period of time, they secrete an acid that damages the paint, ProTech® Insect Cleaner removes insects and the acids that have been absorbed into the paint. 

Note: If the paint is damaged by insect acids, this damage cannot be removed with ProTech® Insect Cleaner. To remove any damage, use ProTech® Super Shiner. 

1. Spray the ProTech® Insect Cleaner on the contaminated areas. 

2. Leave for about 1 minute. 

3. Wipe with a ProTech® Insect Glove Microfibre to remove stubborn insects. 

4. Wash off the residue with water and ProTech® Shampoo or use ProTech® Laserwash and a ProTech® Microfibre 

TIP: If your car has been treated with ProTech 3D+, use Waterless Cleaning 3D+ I.P.V. ProTech® Laser Wash.
